DEFINITION OF ELECTRIC POTENTIAL

Electric Potential: The work done in bringing a certain charge from infinity to a certain point against the electric field is called electric potential.

Or – The work done in bringing a unit test positive charge from bliss to a certain point against the electric field is called electric potential.

Or – The physical quantity by which the direction of flow of electric current is determined is called electric potential.
